Coffee It - Track Caffeine in Simplest Way

This Privacy Policy explains how Coffee It handles data when you use the app. Coffee It is designed as a local-first caffeine health app. Your coffee, caffeine, health, membership, AI input/output, and diagnostic data stays on your device unless you choose to store it in Apple Health, export it, or share it yourself.
No Coffee It backend or server processing
Coffee It does not operate a Coffee It account system, backend server, cloud sync service, analytics backend, advertising system, or server-side AI processing pipeline for your personal app data.
Coffee It does not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal coffee history, Apple Health data, AI prompts, AI responses, diagnostics, or subscription usage through a Coffee It backend.
What Personal Data will I collect and use?
Coffee It may store the following information locally on your device:
- Coffee and drink history that you enter in the app.
- Custom drinks, cup sizes, favorites, app settings, selected app icon, and related preferences.
- Cached statistics derived from your local Coffee It history and authorized Apple Health data.
- Membership entitlement state needed to show paid/free access in the app.
This data is used to provide app features such as caffeine tracking, statistics, Health correlations, AI Insights, membership access, and troubleshooting tools. Coffee It does not upload this data to a Coffee It server.
Local storage and deletion
- If Apple Health sync is off, Coffee It records are stored only in the Coffee It app data on your device. If you delete Coffee It, the locally stored Coffee It data may be deleted with the app unless you have separately exported or shared it.
- If Apple Health sync is on, dietary caffeine and dietary water samples that Coffee It writes to Apple Health are stored and managed by Apple Health on your device and by any Apple Health/iCloud Health settings you enable. Coffee It is not the backend for those Apple Health records.
- Apple Health records written by Coffee It can be managed in the Apple Health app. Deleting Coffee It does not necessarily delete records that already exist in Apple Health.
Apple Health and HealthKit
If you grant Apple Health permission, Coffee It may read selected health data to power statistics and insights:
- Sleep analysis.
- Heart rate.
- Resting heart rate.
- Dietary caffeine.
- Dietary water.
- Heart rate variability (SDNN).
- Blood pressure systolic and diastolic.
- Walking heart rate average.
Coffee It may write dietary caffeine and dietary water samples to Apple Health when you save supported records and allow Health access.
Apple Health data is used on device to calculate statistics, health correlations, and AI Insights. Coffee It does not upload Apple Health data to a Coffee It server.
Apple Health, HealthKit, and any iCloud Health sync are Apple system services. Their privacy handling is controlled by Apple and by your Apple device settings, not by a Coffee It backend. You can manage or revoke Coffee It Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.
AI analysis, Apple Intelligence, and Foundation Models
Coffee It may include AI-powered analysis and caffeine recognition features. When supported by the device and iOS version, Coffee It may use Apple's Foundation Models / Apple Intelligence system capabilities. When those capabilities are unavailable or fail, Coffee It uses local deterministic or rule-based analysis instead.
AI inputs and outputs may include drink names or text you provide, local Coffee It records, authorized Apple Health-derived summaries, calculated statistics, app settings, and app-local context. Coffee It does not send your health records, drink history, AI prompts, or AI responses to a Coffee It server for AI processing, training, advertising, or tracking.
Apple-provided AI system technologies are governed by Apple and your Apple device settings. Coffee It does not control Apple's system-level processing. You can learn more from Apple's Foundation Models documentation and Apple Intelligence privacy information.
Speech input
If you use speech input, Coffee It may request microphone and speech recognition permissions. Coffee It requires on-device speech recognition where supported and does not upload your audio to a Coffee It backend.
Membership, StoreKit, and subscriptions
Coffee It Membership is managed through Apple's StoreKit and App Store subscription system. The app uses StoreKit to load subscription products, start purchases, restore purchases, and check verified entitlement status.
Payment information is handled by Apple. Coffee It does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Terms of Use for Coffee It subscriptions are provided through Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement:
Diagnostics and exports
Coffee It includes diagnostic tools that may be used to troubleshoot AI Insights, statistics, Health data integration, and cache behavior. If you explicitly create or export a diagnostic package, the exported files may include:
- Coffee It caffeine records and derived statistics for the selected period.
- Apple Health-derived summaries or fixture data from authorized Health samples.
- AI prompt or input summaries, rule-engine traces, model/engine status, cache status, and diagnostic logs.
- Local environment metadata needed to debug the issue.
Diagnostic files are generated locally on your device. They are not sent to the developer unless you choose to share them.
Cookies:
Coffee It does not use cookies in the app.
Tracking and third-party services
The Coffee It app does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Coffee It may open external links that you choose to tap, such as the privacy policy, support/contact links, App Store subscription management, open-source project pages, or developer contact links. Those external websites or Apple services are governed by their own privacy practices.

Changes of Privacy Policy
Coffee It may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for me to make changes to this Privacy Policy. Accordingly, I reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of Coffee It after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
